The ‘L’ Word Awards Night
Venue : Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre Delegates: 1,000 Theme: Construction
The Event
Blue Shadow Group transformed the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre into a “Construction Yard” – from a 6m crane made from truss through to wall-to-wall chain link fencing complete with workplace signage, you would have sworn you were at one of Leighton Contractors’ genuine Building Sites.
A customised theme supported with specialised lighting effects, huge screens and projection, event entertainment, plus live-to-screen video production – all to enhance the audience’s experience and deliver a unique event.

The Event
An end-to-end production, from theme through to final delivery – Blue Shadow Group transformed a ballroom and pre-function area into a fully Interactive Graveyard!
From the creation of customized “Zombie characters” to design and styling of the event which included: life sized wrought iron cemetery gates, 4m high mausoleums on stage, dry ice, cobwebs, thunder and lightning, customised sound bytes, zombie specialised costumes and make-up.
Blue Shadow Group also organised the headline acts… every detail was covered – making this a truly memorable, unique event.

Modern Japanese Cocktail Function

The Event
The challenge: Transform a Corporate Head Office into a Modern Japanese Style Cocktail Function.
From custom shoji screens, to interactive sushi kitchen, we transformed the office into a fully interactive Japanese festival.
Blue Shadow Group created a fully interactive Japanese Festival which involved: Shoji screens, live Japanese koto and flute performances, a sushi kitchen, and a finishing touch of ‘fresh cherry blossoms’.
In addition to the theming, customised lighting and sound effects, entertainment, live-to-screen video production were also provided by Blue Shadow Group to deliver on our client’s brief.
